Resolution 1, Planning the Storyline

As I've said so far I now know that I want to focus on the idea of Divorce especially since it relates to me and my brother. I want to create an audio visual journey (me being the visuals and my older brother being the audio) to show the journey we faced together within our family when our parents went through their divorce but this will be shown through symbolism and no real identities meaning it will also be relatable to the public as an audience but also as an insight if they themselves haven't suffered. To begin planning out how the visuals will work I mapped the rough journey I felt like we took during the divorce:

This then helped me think more rationally about the kind of visuals I wanted to symbols this journey. I then made a brainstorm based on visual ideas as a starting point:

This is my initial generation of visuals to film to help symbolise the journey and whats also important is the way I want this to be edited. Each visual idea will be filmed in its own little journey through my previously timeline and then all the iconography and stories will be intercut with each other through each stage and to fit with the music. Then as it becomes more intense the images will begin to be layers and collaged together especially in Kaleidoscope fashion to show the confusion and enormity of the situation expanding but then it will all drop back down and decrease towards a peaceful ending.
