Reflections Photography - Traces Experimental Shoot 1 Plan

I now know after having two tutorials and carrying out research that I want to progress further with my traces idea so I decided to carry out an experimental shoot to help me gain better understanding of what I will photograph and where.

I have decided that with in my idea I want to make it unique by instead of photographing traces people deliberately leave I want to focus on traces that people art aware that they leave. There are three different subjects that I have chosen to focus on with in this which are:

1) Cups and plates left behind at coffee shops and cafes - I want to wait till people leave the table and then photograph there empty cups as a sign that someone has been there yet and left a temporary trace. By photographing this temporary trace I am then immortalising it. I have chosen to do this in the coffee shop 'Cafe Nero' as it is very busy and will give me a lot of photographic opportunity.

2) Left over food and rubbish left on tables at restaurants - I want to focus more on dirty plates and food left overs that people leave once eating as this will be again a temporary trace that I can immortalise but it also reflects the person more depending on how thy left there table/plate. I will attempt this firstly in the canteen at university as this gets very busy and people leave a lot of stuff behind on the tables therefore again given me more photographic opportunity.

3) People Litter - I want to focus on the harsher traces that people leave so their litter as this is more of a negative subject area giving me a contrast between good and bad traces of people. I want to take a walk round farnham town in the local areas and see what litter I can find which could reflect a person and immortalise this negative trace. This idea has a second message to it as well because it sows you the harm the littering can do to the planet and how it is sometimes conceived as such a minor thing when in reality it is a problem.

I wanted to capture all these three locations first of all as experiments before I decide which one has most potential. When I decide which one worked best I will develop the idea and the imagery further.
