Mirror Experiments (Surveillance Idea) Maps and Networks

To start working out the basics of my Surveillance Idea I needed to figure out how the Mirrors would work with one another and what kind of effects I could create. I did this throughout a series of experiments at home using mirrors around my house. I recorded these experiments with photos and video to show the kind of effects I managed to create:

Firstly I used my three door mirrored wardrobe in my room and started opening the doors at various angles next to one another to see what kind of reflection I managed to get...

01.
This is a very basic set up creating 2 reflections

02.
Here I have increased the number of reflections to see 3 of myself

03.
Here I focused on how my lower body was reflected also and got 4 reflections

04.
Here I managed to get 4 reflections which you can just about see but it was her to capture on camera

05.
Here I got three but I began to experiment with how these reflections looked from different angles

06.
Here I only show two reflections but again took ore of a sidewards angle

07.
This is three reflections from a side angle too which you can just about see the 3rd with the close up lens on the right hand side

08.
Here I captured 4 reflections but I had the mirrors at a closer angle to make my reflections look closer

09.
Again I got 4 reflections but found an angle that made it look even smoother

10.
This is a full body shot I managed to capture of how it looked overall with 3 reflections

11.
For this reflection I put the mirrors even closer to create a lot of reflections

12.
Here I moved the two mirrors even closer still so that I created as many reflections of me as possible

Next I went into the bathroom where there is a small shaving mirror and a larger wall mirror. I tried to use these two to see what it looked like with two directly facing mirrors however this was hard to do with such small mirrors...

13.
This image is me trying to capture the contestant loop created by two mirrors but the camera has blocked this slightly

14.
I took a different angle to again try and show the loop they happens

Lastly I tried to use a hand held mirror and my full length wardrobe mirrors to serif this worked any better...

15.
this loose worked a lot more effectively in person because it was a bigger mirror however it was hard to capture with the camera

I have also made this video reel to show how effective some of these mirror set ups were as it is hard just to see in person:

Experiment 01 shows us how easy it is if your standing in the right place to use 2 mirrors to show multiplies of yourself. I feel like this is the most basic set up so probably easier for the installation I am planning yet I need to make it more interesting.

Experiment 02 shows how by putting two mirrors really close to one another and looking through the gap you can capture a massive amount of reflections of yourself. I like how intimidating this is yet I think this could be harder for the installation because rather then being in the mirror you just have to look through a small gap.

Experiment 03 was me trying to show the infinite loop created by two directly facing mirrors yet it was really hard being able to capture this with such small mirrors. I also flipped the mirror half way through to the curved side to show how distortion could be a possibility however I am not sure I like the effect.

Experiment 04 was back to the basic set up in experiment 01 but to try and make it more interesting I had the light flashing on and off randomly. I was trying to add more of an atmosphere by doing this but I don't know if it was very effective however if it was installed with something more like a spotlight or strobe light flashing on and iff the would be a lot more atmospheric and intimidating.

I think overall the basic two mirror angle set up would probably be the most sensible and effective option I just need to add a stone light effect to this and a sound collage.
