We decided we wanted to film on Monday 20th March at Earnley Butterfly, Birds and Beasts Park. We chose this location because it seemed to have the most variety of subjects for us to film and was open on the day we wanted to film. It was also reasonably priced for us and was only an hours drive away which was much shorter than some of the other locations. We knew that we needed to contact them asap to get location permission so we found an email address for them and sent them this email:
We are just now awaiting a response to our request. If we receive no email back in the next 24 - 48 hours we have a phone number for them so will try contact them that way instead. Once they confirm location permission (hopefully they will) we can take an official permission form with us to the shoot and get them to sign this on arrival before we begin however the email will be enough for the moment.
We also have a backup plan if we get denied permission which is to go to Richmond Park and use the rig to catch some natural wildlife such as the deers within the park however this option is less promising as it all depends on the weather and the kind of animals we find which is why this is only a back up at the moment.
Next we needed to make sure we had all necessary equipment booked for the 20th March so we went to equipment hire and booked:
The Omni Rig and Go Pro set
A lighting Stand (acts s a tripod)
A Magic Arm (to secure it to other places)
Now that we have settled on an idea and arranged a location and equipment plan we need to move on to complete a production pack to get signed off before the 20th March.
