Experimental Film - Official Group Meeting Two

Now that I finally had a full group present we could progress much further with our planning and our ideas. We had to decided on a story for definite. We also needed to discuss equipment that was needed, locations and paperwork such as permissions and risk assessments. Here are all the notes I took from this meeting:

As you can see we went with the 4 shoe stories which each group member chose 1 to plan that interested them. I myself chose to do a girls night out in a pair of high heels because I thought this would be fun to film but also very challenging as well because of the lighting and locations etc however I was excited to try. One of the most important things we also decided in this meeting was that to represent memory we would re-enact certain elements from our characters stories but only to the shoes (as these were our subject) in a very abstract way. For this we wanted the studio so we could use proper lighting and make it very bright/dream like to link to memories. We also now knew what equipment we would use and who would supply it weather it be the uni or our own. We also discussed what kind of locations we would need for each story. For mine it was either nightclubs, bars or pubs depending on where we could get permission from. I would need to go away and look into this. Katherine also offered to help by asking bars and clubs where she knew some of the staff. We then allocated paperwork to each person. I had to do the treatment on behalf of the group and then for my own individual show story I had to do a synopsis, shot list or storyboard, risk assessments and permissions for any actors or locations organised. Now we have a solid plan we can go away and begin to organise ourselves for filming etc by booking the studio.

I feel like this meeting was very successful and we have got a lot done. We now can move on and get filming as soon as possible.
