Sound Project - Beginning to Record

I decided that because I was stuck between weather to base my sound scape on 'Maman' or 'The Persistence of Memory' I was beginning by starting to record some sounds for one and then see if this leads anywhere. I began with making a plan for 'Maman' as this was one which I had the clearest idea of what sounds I would need. I wanted it to link to mother nature so here is my rough plan I made before going out with the sound recorder:

I went out for an afternoon to a small woodland area to try and capture these sounds however it was slightly unsuccessful because I found that the woodland I went to wasn't very quiet because of a lot of people walking through and and a lot of dog walkers. This made it hard to find the required sounds I wanted. I tried my best but due to weather conditions I had to leave it. I then went home and listened to the sounds I had managed to capture and I found myself feeling very uninspired by it. A lot of it wasn't loud enough as well so it was hard to hear. I feel like because this avenue hasn't worked out I have decided that I want to go with 'The Persistence of Memory' instead as the basis for my piece so I will start again capturing sounds that relate to that instead.
