Auditions Evening 2 for Studio Shoot

The second evening of auditions was on the 15th November from 4pm till 8pm again. This evening we originally were going to cancel as no one signed up to these slots but after all the hassles that we had on Monday evening with Actors not being able to make it we then tried to reschedule them all to this evening. Unfortunately it was only one of them that was able to come audition on this evening instead and she was the girl Molly who contacted us in advance to say she couldn't do Monday anymore and could she reschedule to Tuesday so we were happy to see her. We set ourselves up same as before and got ready for Molly to arrive.

When she did arrive we got her to do exactly the same tasks that we had planned and done the evening before (see previous post).

Here are the notes I took for Molly:

I really liked Molly because she took a different approach than what we saw with our previous audition. She went for more of a scared victim kind of approach were as Gabby had been much more aggressive. She also had a lot of dance skills and incorporated this into her audition improvisation. She worked even better when we gave her the music as an aid. She seems to have an innocent quality about her so she would suit the Superego well I think instead of the Id.

As we only actually auditioned 2 actress's and thats as many as we needed we decided to offer them both the job. We were happy doing this because even though we only auditioned them two they were both skilled actors who really impressed us with how well they performed the tasks set. We also found out that they both know each quite well and have worked together before and really enjoyed it so we knew that they had the chemistry we needed them to have. We were still going to take the videos of them to the group just to show the rest of the people who weren't there the actresses we would be working with of this.

Overall the auditions even though we only did two still went really well and I feel like we have two people who suit the job and the piece really well anyway.
