Studio Shoot Group Meeting 5

We had a meeting on Thursday 17th November at 4:30pm which I had booked our group a table in the library with a TV for this time. The reason me and Katherine did this was so that we could play the videos that were taken of the auditions to the ret of the group.

Me, Logan and Katherine explained to the members of the group who weren't at the audition about the task we got each actress to do then we played the clip of them doing this on the screen for everyone to see. This was also very useful to us even thought we had seen them live because now we could see how they look on camera as well.

Once we had reviewed all the audition footage we asked everyone what they thought about them. Everyone really liked the 2 girls Molly and Gabby with was good because we then explained that we would have to pick these two for the piece as they were the only two that auditioned. Everyone was happy with this anyway because there auditions went really well anyway and they also know each other and therefore we know they would work well together.

We then shared the notes we took for Molly and Gabby with the rest of the group and then opened up a discussion on which one of them should play which character. My personal opinion was that Gabby was much more childish and bolder with her movement so she should be the Id where as Gabby played more of a reserved and fearful approach and therefore should be the Superego. After discussing it the group agreed with me and we decided that Gabby would be the Id and Molly would be the Superego.

We then moved on to Katherine explaining that she has started setting out dates to rehearse with the actors so they can block the piece and learn it etc. We have agreed on a two possible dates we just need to find out if the actors can make it first before we confirm them. The first audition will just be Myself, Logan and Katherine working with the actors to help them block it out and see what they want to bring to the role then the second audition will be with us three again but also then the camera team so that they are able to work out technically were there shots will be taken from depending on how we have blocked it out.

Lastly we discussed the costumes briefly and decided we want two very casual matching costumes for the characters which will be easy for them to move around it as well. However the Id will have slightly more childish aspects to her costume and will look a bit messier and dirtier. We discussed maybe getting a makeup artist in to help us create this effect depending on how easily available someone would be.

I am very happy with his meeting because everyone is now in agreement with the actors we are using and who is playing who. Now we have got our actors we can begin to work much harder on physically getting the piece together which I am very excited for.
